Christmas and New Year’s always hold a certain feeling of magic. For some of us that sparks the feeling of wanting to make a change and ignites the desire to reset and renew, however this year I want to inspire you to do things a little differently than normal.
Resolutions can sometimes leave us feeling defeated and deflated.
For example, have you ever felt like you work so hard but somehow you are getting nowhere? You put in the work, the effort, do what you are “supposed” to do yet you feel like nothing makes an impact.
We don’t always have to make a drastic change to see a positive impact in our lives. Sometimes it’s the little things that make the most difference and sometimes a simple shift in our perspective can make all the difference.
So instead of dreading the idea of making resolutions, this year I propose that you make it the year of you.
Did you spend the past year ignoring what you truly want? Ignoring your gut instincts and settling for less than you deserve?
Don’t let 2018 be a year filled with regret. Decide that this year is going to be the year of shining beyond your greatest expectations, a year of soaking in every single moment and truly living life to the fullest.
Make 2018 the year that you actually focus on yourself. Let it be the year that you finally do that thing you have been putting off for so long. Make it the year that you finally stop ignoring your feelings and putting yourself aside to let other people take center stage.
This year be the person you envision yourself being. Be your own inspiration.
Let 2018 be the year of new experiences, challenges and exciting adventures.
Let it be the year where you don’t let fear or obstacles get in the way of your own happiness. Decide to make it the year that you let go of the fear of failure, disappointment, of being embarrassed by your body and of making mistakes.
Let it be the year where you keep on going and keep on smiling no matter how tough the journey may get.
Let’s make 2018 the year that you finally look yourself in the mirror and love every single part of YOU.
Let’s make this the year that we find freedom with food, ditch guilt and feel incredibly happy, healthy and confident in our bodies.
While we’re at it why don’t we make 2018 the year that we toss body standards and trendy diets in the trash and decide that “yes, I am beautiful just the way I am”.
This year acknowledge how special you are and realize that you are absolutely and so incredibly worthy.
Let it be the year you learn to say “no” to people who treat you poorly and the year you put yourself first.
Make 2018 the year of you
Let's make this year amazing.
Work on building a better relationship with food so you can feel confident in your own skin and happy in your life.
Sometimes the things most worth doing are the ones that scare us just a little bit. But I guarantee you that you will never regret doing something good for yourself.
You deserve it. Every last bit of it.
